I want to thank you for meeting with me and discussing a correction on your Aug. 11th issue of the Saipan Tribune.

Under the Independent category for the House of Representatives, Precinct 1, my name was printed as Reyes, Jose Cepeda.

I’m named after my father (Jose Mareham Reyes), grandfather (Jose Cabrera Reyes) and great grandfather (Jose Coloma Reyes), may they all rest in peace. Upon my birth, my parents (Jose and Carmen) gave me the English version of the name Jose, which is Joseph.

The correct and official name listed under the Commonwealth Election Commission is: Reyes, Joseph Cepeda. I am an Independent candidate for the House of Representatives, Election District 1/Precinct 1 A-B-C-D-E.
