New media consulting firm to help local biz grow
New media consulting firm Couture Marketing aims to help local businesses in the CNMI beef up their marketing communication strategies.
Founder and president Andy Tidwell, a 20-year media and marketing veteran, said his new company will be true to its running slogan “Where we custom design your marketing needs”.
Tidwell said the company’s only intention would be to help the local businesses grow. “It is refreshing to be here,” he said.
Couture Marketing would assist CNMI companies in terms of branding and building up their image to make them more attractive, pleasant, and inviting to the community.
He said being new on the island makes it more of an advantage to the company because being new means having fresher ideas for companies. “I have fresh eyes,” he said.
“When I came to Saipan, I recognized that there’s an enormous amount of potential here to help local companies strengthen their brands and market share,” said Tidwell.
Couture Marketing is currently helping out the Visitors Channel with its reprogramming strategies to better serve the television viewers, the tourists in particular. Tidwell said he is helping in the station’s re-branding and for more local recognition.
Tidwell said he believes his background and long-term exposure with marketing and media would be a tremendous advantage in helping out his clients. Tidwell has a master’s degree in marketing and among his proven track records include: seven-years as associate publisher of San Francisco Magazine, publisher for Guide for the Arts, Marin at Home and In Room Cityguide; four years as publisher for Home Publishing handling three regional real estate magazines in the Southern California region; seven years as regional director for United News and Media, managing six regional multi-housing publications in the Florida market.
One of Tidwell’s previous clients, Fairmont Hotels and Resorts, said in the six years they worked with Tidwell they had seen his commitment surpassing expectations.
“Andy was never reluctant to put in long hours or to travel literally to the ends of the earth to please a customer,” said Michelle Heston, regional director of public relations of Fairmont Hotels and Resorts.
Tidwell also has been very active in the local communities and has volunteered many hours in the past in serving the people of San Francisco. He had also been on the board of directors for a number of non-profit organizations back in the United States.
