MIFICPA to hold Accounting Idol
The Marianas Institute of Filipino CPAs and Accountants is inviting all members to join its first and only search for the 2005-2006 MIFICPA Accounting Idol.
The search for the first three successful participants will begin on Aug. 13, 1pm at the FCC Office on the ground floor of the Nauru Building in Susupe.
Another three successful members will be selected three months later and thereafter until all 12 slots are completed for the grand finals, which would be held sometime in June of 2006. Registration for the MIFICPA Accounting Idol is free.
All interested members who have registered and qualified for the search will be given a three- to four-hour time limit to complete the examination.
The test will mostly be a multiple-choice type. The coverage of the examination will include all four subjects usually given in the U.S. CPA exam: Business Environment and Concepts; Auditing and Attestation; Financial Accounting and Reporting; and Regulation.
Candidates will be assigned unique examination numbers just like in the actual U.S. CPA exam.
Each successful member who qualifies quarterly will not only be recognized, but will also have a special section in MIFICPA’s website (www.mificpa.org) and will be updated every quarter, adding the current winners. Prizes and certificates will also be given to quarterly winners.
For further information please contact the following MIFICPA officers: Mar Marcelino at 322-1029; Lemuel Arabelo at 433-2766 on Tinian; Reenah at 233-3600; Romel Espinosa at 234-6618; Beng Ramos at 234-8300; and Leriza Debrum at 682-2612.
