The booming voice heard by many tuned in to Magic 100.3FM is also making heads turn in the bowling alleys of Saipan as Jess Rebusada currently leads the rankings of the Saipan Bowling Association.

Rebusada leads a pack of elite Saipan bowlers with a whopping 750 total points and is well ahead of the next bowler in SBA’s Bowling Ranking System or BRS.

The veteran keglers earned 100 points or more on three occasions, including the 140 from his phenomenal play in the Masters competition of the CNMI May Masters Bowling Tournament a couple of months ago.

Rebusada also earned 100 points for winning the All Events category of the same tournament, and another 100 points for bagging the April Pepsi King of the Lanes crown.

Raul Dumapit is currently ranked No. 2 with 634 points, 100 of them coming courtesy of his win in the June Pepsi King of the Lanes tourney and 75 points each from topnotch performances in the All Events category of the May Masters and the May Pepsi King of the Lanes.

Last year’s champion Mark “The Shark” Halstead is not far behind at the No. 3 spot with 629 points, with his play in the Masters competition and the Saipan Bowling Center-Tuesday Night League highlighting his run. The Shark earned 180 points in the Masters and another 80 in the Tuesday league.

Robert Talavera and youth bowler Raymond Zapanta make up the remainder of the Fabulous Five, with Talavera ranked fourth with 605 points and Zapanta just 12 markers back with 593 points.

Both hit the 100-point mark once this season, doing so in the Masters competition with Talavera earning 120 points and Zapanta bagging 100 points.

Other bowlers currently in the top 10 are March Pepsi King of the Lanes winner Dannie Robbles (550), youth bowler Ruselle Zapanta (550), January and May Pespi King of the Lanes victor Simon Manacop (501), February Pepsi King of the Lanes champion Arnel Del Rosario (480), and Richard Leong (435).

Other bowlers with respectable top 20 rankings include May Masters champion Noel Sicat (394), Michael Guirey (301), Edgar Talavera (300), Kitz Barja (289), Alex Cacdac (261), youth bowlers Raymond Angeles (232) and Ross Zapanta (184), Ador Dimaano (183), Paul Pangelinan (180), and Jonathan Eparwa (160).

Meanwhile, eight other bowlers are over the 100-point marker and another 21 bowlers have points in their corners.
