The Commonwealth Utilities Corp. advised customers yesterday of a four-hour power outage in Susupe this morning.

Lights will go out from 9am to 1pm today to allow utility personnel to relocate a power pole for the upgrading of a sewer lift station in Susupe, according to CUC.

“This interruption is necessary to allow CUC line crews to work on the relocation of the primary line and power pole,” the power division manager informed CUC executive director Lorraine Babauta in a memorandum.

The areas to be affected by the outage are Chalan Hagoi (Susupe Lake Road) from Beach Road to Texas Road intersection, Talaya Avenue, Tokcha Avenue, and Lulai way.

No traffic lights will be affected by the outage.

“The corporation solicits the community’s patience, cooperation, and understanding while the necessary work is completed,” CUC said.

A power outage hit Garapan on Tuesday afternoon when a transformer blew up at the Cabrera Center area on Beach Road. CUC power personnel replaced the transformer and restored the power immediately.
