Eight teams entered in MDX cagefest
Eight teams have signed up for the 2005 MDX Amateur Radio Club Inter-Color Basketball League, which is set to get underway beginning July 10, Saturday, at the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium.
The participating teams are led by defending champion Samahang Ilokano at Pangasinense, 2004 United Filipino Organization Basketball League champion Visminda, Saipan Ice & Water 20th Anniversary Basketball League champion Diamond Fixers, Micronesian Brokers, Samahang Manggagawang Filipino, Cabalen, Subway, and Mobil.
MDX president Bong Malasarte also reminded all eight teams that they need to send representatives at 6pm Friday, July 1, for the final organizational meeting for the league. The meeting would be held at the Filipino Community Center on the ground floor of the Nauru Building in Susupe.
Malasarte said that it is very important that a representative from each participating team attend the meeting, since the rules and schedule will be discussed. The deadline for the submission of final rosters and entrance fee would also be on Friday.
He also said, as agreed during their last meeting, the following would be the predominant colors of the eight teams participating in the basketball league: Diamond Fixers (White); Subway (Red); MBI (Blue); Cabalen (Black); Visminda (Orange); SIP (Yellow); SMF (Red and White), and Mobil (Gray).
