SANTA RITA, Guam—U.S. Naval Forces Marianas will hold a change of command ceremony today, June 28, at 10am, at Flag Circle on Nimitz Hill.

During this time-honored Navy tradition, Rear Adm. Arthur Johnson will be relieved by Rear Adm. Charles Leidig. The guest speaker will be Rear Adm. Christopher Weaver, commander of Navy Installations Command.

Johnson served as commander of U.S. Naval Forces Marianas and Navy Region Marianas since December 2003. His next duty assignment is commander of Patrol and Reconnaissance Force, Fifth and Seventh Fleet in Misawa, Japan.

Leidig reports to Guam from Annapolis, Md., where he served as commandant of the U.S. Naval Academy.
