Close to 400 moviegoers pushed their bedtimes past midnight last night to watch Revenge of the Sith, the final installment of George Lucas’s Star Wars prequel to the original trilogy.

Hollywood Theater allotted two theaters with seating capacities of 204 and 196, respectively, for the premiere of what is expected to be this summer’s biggest box office hit.

According to theater official Dixon Actouka, Hollywood Theater allotted two larger capacity theaters for the first few weeks of showing the film. Revenge of the Sith is currently showing at the theater in its regular show hours.

Revenge of the Sith follows Episode I The Phantom Menace and Episode II Attack of the Clones.

Local fans could not restrain their excitement as the film started to roll. They applauded when the trademark music by John Williams began to reverberate around the cinema.

Actouka said he is excited with the premiere night because he said finally the “missing link” among all other episodes of the Star Wars saga is finally here.

He said he believed that the fans were excited and very anxious to find out how the youthful, powerful, and innocent yet impatient Jedi, Anakin Skywalker, turned into the dreaded Darth Vader, and why his children from Padmé Skywalker, Princess Leia and Luke Skywalker, were separated from birth.

Actouka is inviting everyone to see the film especially if they have time this weekend. He said as long as the public would watch the film, the two allotted theaters would remain to accommodate the thousands of Star Wars fans in the CNMI.
