Domestic Violence Center seeks new name
The Family Violence Task Force is inviting the CNMI community to submit suggested names for its newly renovated facility.
The Domestic Violence Intervention Center, as the facility is presently called, will be unveiled two weeks from now with an open house expected to celebrate its grand opening.
The open house will be on June 3, Friday, starting from 11am until 2pm at the Domestic Violence Intervention Center, Government Housing No. 1233 up at the Capitol Hill.
The open house will provide an opportunity for the Family Violence Task Force to showcase the newly renovated Intervention Center that will continually promote domestic violence awareness in the entire Commonwealth, according to a media release.
A short program is scheduled during the open house, which would include the blessing of the office, followed by a lunch to be hosted by the task force.
The open house committee is tasked with renaming of the Domestic Violence Intervention Center.
The task force’s office is now seeking the assistance of the public for the renaming of the center. If anyone in the community has any suggestions, the task force office would like to get their ideas and suggestions no later than tomorrow.
Should you have questions in the submission of the name of the newly renovated facility, contact the Family Violence Task Force office at 664-4584 or fax the suggested names at 664-4552.
