The Marshallese Community on Saipan held their annual “May Day” celebration on Saturday at the Civic Center Beach on Saipan, their adopted land.

May 1 is a national holiday in the Marshall Islands, celebrating the day the Republic of the Marshall Islands was formed. Marshallese from Saipan dressed in blue, white and orange representing the colors of the Marshall Islands flag attended the celebrations. The day was filled with marching, singing, games, contests, and lots of good Marshallese food. (PR)
