Enchanting moment, time has come
The spell’s been cast, the deed is done
Revealed to the world, for all to see
But only a falsified beauty.

It is true her elegance is counterfeit
Back to her rags, once midnight hits
But for only in this one moment in time
Will she radiate and shine.

The gracefulness she brings lights up the room
However, saddened that it will all end soon
Savor in much divine attention
Ticking of the clock brings tension.

The bells now toll, they toll for her
Back to the way things were before
Standing there for all to see
In her rags again she be

Silence fills the air
All eyes on her, piercing stares
Frowns start turning into grins
As she still glows from within

Her heart is made from purest of gold
Unveiled is an inner beauty, behold
Then hands start clapping, it fills the room
Cinderella never needed to wear a costume. (Pauline Ogo Atalig)
