The Refaluwasch Golf Association has set a Saipan-Guam Goodwill Golf Tournament for Memorial Day, May 29, at the Coral Ocean Point Resort golf course.

RGA president Jess Wabol said he has invited the Chamorro Golf Club of Guam to play in the tournament. He said other interested golfers from other Saipan golf associations are also welcome to join the tournament.

Earlier, Wabol invited golf players on Saipan to help the islands’ youth baseball program by participating in a fundraising golf tournament set for June 11 also at the COP.

Wabol said proceeds from the event will be used to purchase trophies, medals, and other mementos for players in the Saipan and Tinian Little League programs.

He also said money raised from the event would also defray the cost of hosting the Asia-Pacific Regional Little League Tournament on Tinian in the next couple of months.

The RGA president also announced that RGA’s May Ace of the Month Tournament would be held on May 14, Saturday, also at the COP.

The score to beat is the net 66 carded by John Mettao last Saturday in RGA’s May Ace of the Month Qualifying Tournament held at the COP.

Wabol is also reminding members that the club is still entertaining the application of new members. Membership fee is $50, which is the same cost for renewals.

The membership fee covers the period from January to December. Wabol is also reminding current RGA members to take care of their membership dues as early as possible.
