Submissions for the first Flame Tree Film Festival are still being accepted. The deadline for all submissions is Monday, April 11, 2005.

“We’ve received quite a number of entries already, but we don’t want to exclude anyone,” explained FTFF organizer, Galvin Deleon Guerrero. “If you have even home-made videos, turn them in.”

Deleon Guerrero noted, however, that “films should keep in mind the family-oriented nature of the Flame Tree Festival.”

The Flame Tree Film Festival, which aims to be an annual event, will first feature motion picture work by local filmmakers in a non-competitive forum. Next year’s film festival, which coincides with the Flame Tree Arts Festival history 25th anniversary, will invite filmmakers from throughout the Pacific and Oceana to submit film entries for competition.

For more information on the FTFF, or to submit a film for the festival, contact Galvin Deleon Guerrero at 664-2213 or galvin@itecnmi.com.
