Live fire training, bird survey on FDM
The Emergency Management Office, in conjunction with Naval Forces Marianas, would like to inform the public that the U.S. military would be conducting live fire and bird survey training exercise on the island of Farallon De Mendenilla.
The schedule dates and time are as follow:
* April 4, from 11:30am to 4:30pm – Live Fire Training
* April 5, from 9a.m. to 12 noon – Live Fire Training
* April 6, from 8a.m. to 11am-Live Fire Training
* April 8, from 8a.m. to 11am – Live Fire Training
* April 9, from 9am to 4pm – Live Fire Training
* April 10, from 9am to 4pm- Live Fire Training
* April 12, from 7am to 6:30pm – Live Fire Training
* April 13, from 9am to 4pm – Live Fire Training
* April 14, from 8am to 11:15am – Live Fire Training
* April 18, from 7am to 2pm – Live Fire Training
* April 25, from 8am to 1p.m. – Bird Survey
* April 26, from 7am to 2pm – Live Fire Training
The general location of these activities will be on the island of Farallon De Mendenilla training area from 15,000 feet mean sea level on a 10 nautical mile radius on all quadrants.
Due to the danger imposed by these activities, EMO is advising the public—especially fishermen, commercial pilots, and marine tour operators—to stay away from this location during the time and dates indicated.
