Thank you for the advice regarding your role as Washington Representative. My apologies if it seemed as though I had placed you in the “candidate” category. Your suggestions are well taken and I wish you the best of luck in your efforts to attain your two primary goals—water and delegate—now.

For too long the residents of the CNMI have been cheated out of real representation in a Congress that is supposed to adequately represent all U.S. citizens. I’m sure that all the residents of the CNMI hope that you will bring home good news.

Meanwhile, let’s also hope that our local elected officials charged with our “governance” will heed whatever advice or news you may give from the Washington standpoint.

Dr. Thomas D. Arkle Jr.
San Jose, Tinian
