For all of those teetering on the brink of multi-sport training boredom, the Northern Mariana Islands Triathlon Federation and the Pacific Islands Club are offering a visual reminder of what the hours of relentless conditioning are going toward.

The organization will be hosting a “pre-XTERRA psych-up party” featuring a big screen viewing of the 2004 Saipan XTERRA Championship, the 2005 XTERRA World Championship, and the XTERRA USA Championship 2005 at PIC’s Charlie’s Cabaret.

“These are both highly entertaining and feature known entities like [Josiah] Middaugh, [Jason] Chalker, [Olivier] Marceau, and [Jamie] Whitmore, as well as some good crashes,” said NMITF president Stephan Samoyloff.

The viewing is scheduled to begin at 6:45pm tonight, and photos of recent races and of last year’s event will be shown simultaneously.

Samoyloff added that any funds raised during the viewing would go towards the NMITF’s effort to send a team to the 2005 South Pacific Mini Games in Palau.
