The African-American Community of the CNMI invites members of the CNMI government, the media and the public to a Martin Luther King’s birthday luncheon on Jan. 17, 12pm at the Magellan Room, Pacific Island Club Resort.

Program for the luncheon will include a welcome remark from CNMI Gov. Juan N. Babauta and luncheon and entertainment led by Professor Sam Joyner. Guest speaker Dr. John Joyner will provide insights on Martin Luther King’s achievements and sacrifices as well as contributions to mankind.

The organizer would like to remind the public, though, that they will have to shoulder the cost for the food at $16 per person.
