Continental Micronesia announced yesterday that 95.4 percent of its flights in November 2004 arrived within 14 minutes of scheduled arrival time.

Citing statistics from the U.S. Department of Transportation, Continental indicated that it performed better, in terms of on time arrivals, than the 11 U.S. airlines included in the federal government’s latest air travel consumer report.

Other airlines in the list are Hawaiian, 93.4 percent; Jet Blue, 87.5 percent; Northwest, 84.2 percent; United, 83.5 percent; Skywest, 82.4 percent; ATA, 82.1 percent; Independence, 81.5 percent; Southwest, 81 percent; American, 80.9 percent; Comair, 80.1 percent; and U.S. Airways, 78.7 percent.

Continental said it completed 99.3 of its scheduled available seat miles in November, with baggage handling at 99.9 percent. The airline also reported a 74 percent system-wide load factor.

“Once again, Continental Micronesia provides an industry-leading operational performance,” said Dan Morgan, the airline’s operations managing director.

Continental Micronesia is headquartered in Guam and operates a Pacific hub from the A.B. Won Pat Guam International Airport. A wholly owned subsidiary of Continental Airlines, Continental Micronesia offers more than 290 departures each week between 22 cities throughout the Pacific Rim, the Micronesian Islands and Hawaii with a fleet of 13 next-generation Boeing 737 narrowbody and 767 widebody aircraft.

In addition, Continental Micronesia and its code share partner, Cape Air, operate commuter service between Guam and the Northern Marianas.
