With the conclusion of the 3rd Annual Crime Stoppers Slow Pitch Softball Tournament Sunday night, it’s time for the resumption of activities for both fast and slow pitch divisions of the Island Wide Softball League.

Beginning tonight, the men of the fast pitch league will return to the dusty confines of the Oleai Sports Complex softball diamond, as the Verizon Sluggers (5-6) take on the Islanders (3-10) at 6:30pm, followed by the D-9ers (8-3) and Kagman 1-2-3 at 7:30pm.

Tonight’s games are crucial for the Islanders and Kagman 1-2-3, as there is just one spot remaining for the playoffs, they have identical records of 3-10, and each will play their final game of the regular season.

Tomorrow night, the same field will host the underhanded men of the slow pitch league at 6:30pm, as the Island Mix (8-5) and the Bud Light Chura (8-5) will compete in the final tiebreaker to determine the sixth and seventh seeds in postseason play.

The playoff schedule will be released following the conclusion of these contests.
