SGA kicks off 2005 season
The Saipan Golf Association will kick off its 2005 season with its January Ace of the Month Tournament at LaoLao Bay Golf Resort Saipan west course this Sunday, Jan. 9.
Tee time is set at 6:31am. Members and interested individuals are encouraged to be at the golf club house at 6am for registration and briefing.
Membership fee for new members is $50 per year, while renewal for old members is $40.
SGA requests those interested to confirm their participation by calling Larry at 287-1052 or 256-1052, Jess at 287-1051 or Joe at 664-3900.
SML teams told to prepare for new season
The Saipan Major League Baseball Association is informing teams interested in joining the upcoming 2005 season to start preparations for the February opening.
Teams are advised to start securing sponsors immediately and not wait for February to arrive.
Teams are allowed to field rosters of not more than 25 players and must be finalized before opening day. Entrance fee is $1,200 and should be made payable under the name of the Saipan Major League.
Interested individuals or teams are asked to contact SML president Rose igitol at 288-5426, vice president Bob Coldeen at 235-KMCV, or league coordinator, Tony Rogolifoi at the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium at 664-2508.
