The Commonwealth Utilities Corp. has scheduled a power outage today, Wednesday, Dec. 29, on Feeder 2, from 1:30pm to 4pm.

Affected areas include the Garapan Fishing Basin, Kristo Rai, Horiguchi Building, Century Building, China House, National Office Supply, Star Water, Megabyte, Triple J, Monica’s Gallery, BJ’s Restaurant, Char’s store, Oleai Center (including First Hawaiian Bank and FHP), Joeten Motor’s, J’s Bowling Center, and MVA office (all customers between these areas will be affected)

The San Jose traffic lights will also be affected.

CUC’s Power Division said this outage is needed to remove and install a 45’ power pole. This interruption is necessary to allow CUC linemen to work on de-energized power lines safely.

“CUC requests the cooperation and patience of people driving and residing in these areas while the work is completed,” the agency said in a statement.
