2 DOMESTIC VIOLENCE CASES LAND IN COURT
Two men allegedly hurt two women in two separate cases of domestic violence.
Both Fostic Anton Nedlic, 43, and Richard Temarsel, 55, face charges of assault and battery and disturbing the peace.
In the case against Nedlic, assistant attorney general Jeffrey Warfield said the defendant punched a woman last Dec. 18.
Temarsel, meanwhile, hit another woman in the face last Dec. 11, according to Warfield.
Warfield said both incidents happened on Saipan. He filed the charges against Nedlic and Temarsel at the Superior Court Thursday. (John Ravelo)
SEXAGENARIAN SUED FOR ALLEGED ASSAULT
A 61-year-old person is facing assault charges at the Superior Court.
Singera Techur was sued for allegedly attacking two women—Dayna K. and Dionicia K. Techur—earlier this December.
The charging document filed by Assistant Attorney General Jeffrey Warfield Thursday did not specify the relationship among the Techurs, as well as the gender of Singera.
Warfield lodged two counts each of assault and battery and disturbing the peace, and a count of assault against the sexagenarian.
Warfield said the incident happened last Dec. 11 on Saipan. (John Ravelo)
MAN IN HOT WATER FOR ALLEGEDLY STEALING LIQUOR
A 20-year-old man is facing multiple criminal charges for allegedly stealing alcoholic beverages several times from a company by forging invoices.
Government prosecutor Joseph Taijeron Jr. said Timothy B. Mafnas stole liquor from Pacific Trading Company Ltd. on at least four occasions last month.
The first instance happened on Nov. 17, when Mafnas stole 18 bottles of liquor, Taijeron said. On Nov. 22, Mafnas allegedly stole 11 cases of beer.
Mafnas allegedly repeated the same offense four days later, stealing 60 cases of beer that time. On Nov. 30, Mafnas stole 18 bottles of beer, Taijeron said.
The prosecutor filed with the Superior Court four counts each of theft, forgery and possession of forged writing against Mafnas. (John Ravelo)
AGO CHARGES MAN WITH THEFT
Christmas may be unhappy for a 46-year-old man, who is facing a theft case at the Superior Court as the A.G.O. filed the case against him a day before Christmas Eve.
Facing a count of theft by deception is Ramon DLG. Aldan.
Assistant Attorney General Joseph Taijeron Jr. accused Aldan of stealing some $5,000 from one Peter DeLeon Guerrero.
The charging document, however, did not elaborate on how Aldan took the money from DeLeon Guerrero.
The alleged theft transpired on Saipan last Sept. 14, Taijeron said. (John Ravelo)
