DD’s Camacho in DC

CNMI Council on Developmental Disabilities executive director Thomas J. Camacho recently met with transportation representatives and officials in Washington, D.C. to finalize transportation technical assistance support intended for the CNMI.

Washington Rep. Pete A. Tenorio joined Camacho at the meeting.

The Mobility Planning Institute under the Project ACTION (Accessible Community Transportation in Our Nation), and Easter Seals sponsored a day meeting with CNMI Transportation consultant Betty Newell (Newell is also the president of CART, VA.); Beth Denniston, director, Rural Transit Technical Assistance Program under the American Public Works Association; Dave Barr, also from RTAP; Chris Zeilinger, assistant director, Governmental Affairs and Training, Community Transportation Association of American; and Karen Wolf-Branigin, director, Easter Seals Project ACTION.

Camacho was recently in the nation’s capital for the Alternative Financing Program grantee sponsored by RESNA and ADA Guidelines Accessibility technical assistance meeting with the U.S. Access Board. (PR)
