Countdown to 2005
As 2004 makes way for 2005, sports associations on island are hurrying to wrap up their final events of the year.
In tennis, the Saipan Tennis Association capped another successful year by holding their 2nd Annual Taga Tennis Tournament awards banquet Saturday evening at the Hot City Karaoke Bar in San Jose.

Games of the 2004 Government Basketball League also continued at the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium with Public School System, Department of Labor and Department of Public Safety solidifying their holds of the Top 3 places of the cage competition.
Last week also saw the 9th staging of the BSEA Rudeger Volleyball Tournament at the American Memorial Park, the 2004 Island Wide Volleyball League hold its sets and bumps at the Ada Gym, and softball games of the slow pitch and fast pitch variety take place at the Oleai Sports Complex.
