DES CHRISTMAS RUMMAGE SALE TOMORROW
The Dandan Elementary School will be holding a Christmas Rummage Sale at the school tomorrow, Dec. 18, 2004 from 8am to 12 noon. Tables will be rented to interested vendors. Contact the school at 664-5025 for more information or to reserve space.

Friday, Dec. 17: School is half day. Students will be released at 11:30am.
Wednesday, Dec. 22: Last day of school before Christmas break. School resumes Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2005.
KAGES SCHEDULE FOR THE HOLIDAYS
The Kagman Elementary School Christmas Pageant will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2004, from 4:30pm to 6:30pm. This year’s program will take place on the grassy knoll in front of the school, where the stage is located. The public is invited to come and enjoy an early evening of Christmas music and dancing overlooking the Pacific. Please bring your chairs, blankets/mats, and umbrellas. Refreshments will be sold that evening by students/teachers who are raising funds to go on their Close-up trip to Washington D.C. Point of contact is Olive Camacho, at 664-3915.
Lemonade Stand orders are in! If you have not picked up your order, you have until Monday, Dec. 20, 2004. Any orders not paid and picked up by 4:30pm of Dec. 20 will be sold to the public on Dec. 21.
Reminder to All Kagman Elementary School students/parents/guardians: Last day of school will be on Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2004. Classes resume on Jan. 11, 2005.
HEAD START PROGRAM ENROLLMENT START
Enroll your child now! Head Start provides children with activities that help them grow mentally, socially, emotionally, and physically. The Head Start staff recognize that, as parents, you are the first and most important teachers of your children. They will welcome your involvement in Head Start activities, and will work as partners with you to help your child progress. Your child will leave Head Start more prepared for kindergarten, excited about learning, and ready to succeed.

SUMMER COLLEGE INTERNSHIPS AVAILABLE
The NMI Council for the Humanities wishes to advise the general public of the availability of federal internships for the summer of 2005.
The program, sponsored by the National Endowment for the Humanities, is open to college students entering their junior or senior years in the fall of 2005. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or foreign nationals who have been legal residents in the United States for at least three years. Non-U.S. residents of the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands are also eligible to participate in this program.
The NEH will provide interns $4,000 for 10 weeks of work in Washington, D.C.
The deadline for applications is Jan. 5, 2005. Interested individuals may submit their applications online at http://www.neh.gov/interns/guidelines.html. Questions about this intern program should be directed to the Internship Coordinator at internships@neh.gov.
