The Bicol Association of the Northern Mariana Islands (BIANMI Inc.) will hold its much-awaited turnover ceremony of the “Bicol Pavilion” to the CNMI government, represented by the Division of Parks and Recreation, tonight at 7pm, at the pavilion site.

The pavilion is located between the Children’s Playground and Veteran’s Memorial Park along Beach Road in Susupe.

BIANMI, a local organization of Filipinos from Bicol, a region south of Metro Manila, began the construction of the pavilion in 2002 and finished it in early 2003. The organization, which consists of a number of engineers, took it up as a group project as part of efforts to contribute to the community.

It is the organization’s goal to always foster friendship and cooperation with its host community, the CNMI.

During the ceremony, the organization will also hold its annual induction of its newly elected officers.

The Bicol region is composed of six provinces and cities namely, Albay where the world’s famous perfect-cone Mt. Mayon is located, Camarines Sur, Camarines Norte, Catanduanes, Masbate, and Sorsogon City.
