SaipanCell, Philippine telecom firms link up for new service
Tamuning, GUAM—SaipanCell Communications announced yesterday a new service that will make it easier for Filipinos living on Saipan to stay in touch with families, friends and loved ones in the Philippines.
SaipanCell has partnered with Globe and Touch Mobile to offer Autoload Max, a popular reload service in the Philippines. With Autoload Max, Filipinos in Saipan may now send P150, P300, P500 or P1,000 worth of Globe or Touch Mobile prepaid credits to their relatives and friends in the Philippines in a flash.
According to Kevin Seeker, director of marketing, “using a special software, SaipanCell can load prepaid credits to a Globe or Touch Mobile subscriber’s phone in the Philippines. No PINs, no scratching, no fuss. It’s easy reloading in an instant…from Saipan to your family and friends in the Philippines.”
The service is available at all SaipanCell stores. All you need to do is provide the phone number to the person you want to send a load to in the Philippines, the amount of the load, and a brief message—up to 160 characters. In just a few minutes, the person you sent a prepaid load to will receive a text advisory from Globe or Touch Mobile to inform them that a successful load of prepaid credits has been applied to their account. The second text message they receive is a personal greeting from the sender in Saipan.”
SaipanCell is the exclusive provider of this service in Saipan and Guam. Globe and Touch Mobile is offering the service throughout Asia, including Hong Kong, China and Japan.
