Saipan, Tinian workshops on snails, slugs

The Northern Marianas College-Cooperative Research Education and Extension Services will be conducting a workshop today and tomorrow to teach people how to prevent the entry of invasive snails and slugs from Rota to Saipan and Tinian.

The Saipan workshop, entitled Slug and Snail Biology and Control Methods, will be held today, from 9am to 12pm, at the Department of Lands and Natural Resources conference room in Lower Base.

The workshop on Tinian would be held tomorrow, Dec. 2, at Room A of the Northern Marianas College-Tinian campus. It will be from 9am to 2pm. Contact person on Tinian is Lawrence Duponcheel of the NMC-CREES Tinian at (670) 433-2576 or 287-0553.

Both workshops are sponsored by NMC-CREES and the DLNR.
