Please furnish the public with your list of all the “competitors” worldwide that are also trying to obtain a permit from MPLA to remove pozzolan from Pagan. Or ANYONE else that has recently shown the slightest interest in taking this mineral off the surface of what was prior to 1982 one of the Marianas’ more pristine islands but portions of which were left a volcanic wasteland by Mother Nature with little else than a few coconuts, ironwood trees and some sparse clumps of salt grass slowly reclaiming a barren, uninhabitable area where removal would be conducted. Then ask yourself the question: If the island is so lush, pristine and unspoiled as you state, why isn’t there a proper village populated by those who actually WANT to live on Pagan (because it is their HOME) instead of only a handful of squatters who have no claim to any portion of an island with no privately owned land? Have you actually seen the northern portion of this island since 1982?

P.S. PhD was on crops grown on similar, but older, volcanic areas.
