The Division of Youth Services Volunteer Program is coordinating the annual Christmas Toy Drive for clients under the care of and or supervision of the Division of Youth Services.

DYS has been coordinating with different private businesses, government agencies and community members in the last several years to provide toys for DYS’ needy clients in the spirit of the holiday season. Last year, there were over 600 toys collected and distributed to DYS clients.

This year the Volunteer Program’s goal is to be able to gather 800 toys to distribute among DYS clients. Several agencies and organizations have already committed some toys, depending on the number of individuals in their organization.

The Volunteer Program is inviting other interested organizations that would also like to take part in this project during this time of giving to lift the Christmas spirits of those in need.

“If you are interested in participating or need to inquire for more information, please call Vivian Sablan or Benylin Mettao at 664-2584 or 664-2550,” the agency said.
