Chamber elects 2005 board of directors

At their November General Membership Meeting, the Saipan Chamber of Commerce elected the nine members who will direct Chamber activities in 2005.

Re-elected to a second one-year term is president Alex Sablan of Saipan Shipping. Also reelected to second one-year terms are Richard Pierce, SGMA/Safety First, as vice president and Jay Jones of Triple J Motors as secretary. Michael Johnson of Deloitte Touche was elected treasurer.

New directors, who will serve a two-year term, are David Sablan of Century Insurance Ltd., James Arenovski of Delta Management, and Harry Blalock, KCNM/KZMI. Directors who will continue on the board in the second year of their term are Charles V. Cepeda, Pacific Trading Company, and Juan T. Guerrero of Juan T. Guerrero & Associates.

The Saipan Chamber of Commerce is the largest private business organization in the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. Through business leadership and membership involvement in community issues, the Chamber continues to develop its role as a beacon for good business in these islands, the Pacific region and in business communities abroad.
