NMITA Falls Classics serves up Nov. 11

The Northern Mariana Islands Tennis Association will host the 2004 Fall Classic Tennis Championships on Nov. 11-14 at the American Memorial Park tennis courts.
The tournament has a total of 12 singles and doubles divisions for both boys and girls 18 years old and under.
Singles categories include boys and girls’ 18-and-under, boys’ and girls’ 14-and-under, and boys’ and girls’ 10-and-under. The doubles categories will have the same three age groups for both boys and girls. Players could only sign up for one doubles and one singles event.
Entry fee is $10 for singles play and $5 per person in the doubles category. Checks should be made payable to NMITA. Entry fees and entry forms should be submitted to Las Vegas Discount Golf & Tennis.
NMITA president and tournament director Jeff Race said the deadline for submission of all entries and entry fee is this Sunday, Nov. 7 at 4pm.
Tournament draws will be posted at the Las Vegas Discount Golf & Tennis and American Memorial Park bulletin board starting Wednesday, Nov. 10.
The 2004 Fall Classic Tennis Championships is a NMITA Junior Development fundraising event.
Last year, the tournament included a men’s open division, but according to Race NMITA decided to limit this year’s event to only junior tennis to develop up-and-coming netters and because there is a dearth of open players on island.
