Costume contests delight night clubs
GIG discotheque and Saipan Grand Hotel’s Madonna disco attracted a variety of impersonators in contests for the best Halloween costume yesterday night.
Madonna filled the stage with seven participants competing for the sexiest, scariest, and most original costume.
The participants stood center stage, while the crowd cheered on their favorite costumed participant. Judges were on hand to make the final decision for the winners in the three categories.
“Storm” of X-Men fame was recognized as the sexiest costume, while “Catwoman” took the most original costume. On the other hand, “Titanic priest” Roderick Hernandez received the scariest costume award.
Winners were given cash prizes, Miller Lite merchandise, T-shirts, and IT & E phone cards among others.
Sponsors for the bash included Power 99 FM, Pacific Distributors Inc., and IT & E among others.
In a similar event, Microl Distributors hosted a Halloween bash that took place at GIG Discotheque. A variety of impersonators rushed into the club to take part in the contest which awarded $500 to the winner.
