GES Halloween Carnival this Friday

The Garapan Elementary Student Council will be sponsoring a Halloween Carnival on Friday, Oct. 29, 2004 from 6pm to 9pm. All are invited to share in the fun-filled occasion. Entrance to the carnival is free for those in costumes. There will be games, dances, a haunted house and food. They will be looking forward to showing the Mallard Spirit.

Other activities for the remainder of October:

Oct. 27 – Education Day Proclamation signing @ 10am, Governor’s Office

Oct. 28 – PTA Meeting @ 6pm, school cafeteria

Oct. 29 – Domestic Violence Vigil @ 6pm, American Memorial Park

GES would also like to thank the following parents/guardians for their assistance this quarter:

• Ms. Julie Santos, for donating rakes to help teachers clean up after Typhoon Chaba.

• Mr. Howard Macaranas, for requesting the Mayor’s Office to donate aggregate and then bringing a crew to school to personally cover GES’ walk from gate potholes.

• Mr. Mariano Fajardo, for working with the PTA to provide sports uniforms to our students.

• Mrs. Carlyn Hofschneider, for requesting the Fire Department to wash out GES’ muddy parking lot after the heavy rains.

• All the parents who supported GES Pizza Hut Night, we raised $207.

• All the parents who collected beads, mwars and coconut hats for Spirit Week and who set up presentation booths at Cultural Day.

• All the parents who took their kids to NJFL and PGFC so that it can help them bloom.

• Our former PTA Officer, Norbert Sablan, Ruth Sakisat, Helena Jebelen, for their hard work and dedication and GES’ new 2004-2005 officers, Mariano Fajardo, Coreen Palacios, Tess Samson and Carlyn Hofschneider, for their continued dedication.
