CHACHA REPORT CARD DAY, OPEN HOUSE TODAY

This is to inform all parents, guardians, and the community that the Chacha Oceanview Jr. High School will be issuing first quarter report cards and having an open house today, Oct. 22, between the hours of 3:30pm-5:30pm.

WSR TO CELEBRATE UN DAY

William S. Reyes Elementary School presents the United Nations and Peace Builders Day Celebration at the WSR school stage on Monday, Oct. 25, from 8am to 10:30am.

WSR STUCO officers will be presenting facts and information about UN Day. SPED students will perform the UN song while the student body will wave the UN flags. The highlight of the celebration is the Creative PeaceBuilding cheer leading competition from different grade levels.

SPED ADVISORY PANEL MEETING

The CNMI Public School System Special Education Program will be conducting a Special Education State Advisory Panel meeting on Nov. 12, 8am to 2pm, at the Pacific Islands Club’s Napu Room.

The meeting is open to the public. The agenda for this meeting will be passed out at the meeting.

* Oct. 25 United Nations Day/Peace Builders Day Cheer Competition Assembly.

OLEAI ELEMENTARY’S OCTOBER SCHEDULE

Oct. 22, 2004: Halloween Dance at the OES campus from 6pm to 8pm. Entry fee is $0.75 cents with costume and $1 without costume.

Oct. 29: STUCO Club Halloween Candy Gram Sale and Annual Domestic Violence Candle Light Vigil. The prices for the Candy Gram Sale orders range from .50, $1 to $3. The Annual Domestic Violence Candle Light Vigil will be from 5pm to 8pm. It will start at Micro Beach Pavilion to Paseo De Marianas, Garapan Street Market area.

SCHEDULE FOR ARBOR MONTH ACTIVITIES

The October committee has come up with activities to complement the declaration of Arbor Month. The Northern Marianas College Cooperative Research Extension & Education Services has accepted the proposal for Arbor Day activities.

All of the activities will be held in the quad area of the Garapan Elementary School.

The schedule will be as follows:
Friday, Oct. 22
9am 4th grade
10am 5th grade
11am 6th grade
