In support of development

Please allow me once again to express my support for the mining of the pozzolan on the island of Pagan by Azmar Corp.

As a former resident, I understand the cost of resettling the island, as many of our leaders recently aired. However, if Azmar is allowed to extract the pozzolan, not only will the government benefit, it will open the resettlement process at no cost to our CNMI taxpayers.

Mr. Ken Moore, in his proposal, offered to contribute $3 million for housing and other infrastructure development on the island. For this reason, we, the former residents of Pagan, kindly ask the board members of MPLA to consider and issue the permit required for Azmar to begin operation.

To date, the Castros, the Aldans, and Kaipats are on the island waiting for your action so they, in the very near future, enjoy the opportunity offered by the company. On behalf of the former residents, we ask for your help.
