Resto league champion to be crowned
After finals protagonists Country House and Capricciosa took Monday night off, Game 3 of the 2004 Inter-Restaurant Basketball League will resume starting at 11pm tonight at the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium.
Capricciosa extended the series to the rubber match after defeating Country House 92-84 in Game 2 early Sunday morning. The win avenged their 95-85 loss in Game 1 early Tuesday morning.
With no more tomorrows, Country House will bank on a well-rested Banjo Basila, the do-it-all forward that was bottled up by Capricciosa’s stifling defense in Game 2. Also expected to contribute big numbers for the western-themed restaurant are power forward Joy Dayrit and playmaker Edward Vega.
Capricciosa, for their part, will continue to rely on the Mutt and Jeff combination of Gyles Ruluked and Ed Arriola. Unlike Country House, however, Capricciosa can also get contributions from Game 2 MVP Reynaldo “Badong” Camacho, sharpshooter Randy Arconado, guard Jojo Molar, and slotman Andy Viola.
Country House, with Triple J Wholesale as major sponsor, is hosting the 2004 Inter-Restaurant Basketball League.
