Poster making and essay writing contest launched

The Family Violence Task Force, along with the Domestic Violence Awareness Month Committee, is sponsoring a poster making and essay writing contest for 7th to 12th grade students of private schools.

Essays must be between 300 to 1,000 words. Posters must be on an 8 1/2 x 11 inch paper. Entries must illustrate/depict the theme, “ENOUGH! Domestic Violence R.I.P.”

Entries must be submitted by Oct. 15, 2004 at 3pm to the school official designated at the student’s school or to the submission box at Karidat in Chalan Kanoa.

When submitting your essay paper, please make sure your name, grade and school is placed on a cover page and attached to the paper. When submitting posters, please make sure contestant’s name, grade and school is placed on the back of the drawing or on a separate cover sheet stapled to the entry.

Prizes for the winning entries will be awarded on Friday, Oct. 29, 2004 during the Candlelight Vigil Ceremony at the Paseo de Marianas, in Garapan.
