MOBIL CAGING MEETING TODAY
The Mobil Oil Marianas Invitational Co-Ed Basketball Tournament will hold its first organizational meeting for the 2005 season today, Oct. 8, 11:30am at the Aqua Resort Club’s Costa Terrace restaurant.
League coordinator Abner Venus is inviting representatives from the 10 teams that make up the Mobil co-ed basketball league to attend the meeting. He also said that board members of the league are also required to be present. Venus said issues to be discussed are league format, ground rules, and kick-off date.

BISITA LUTA GOLF TOURNEY THIS SATURDAY
The 2nd Annual Bisita Luta/Budweiser Golf Tournament will be held this coming Saturday, Oct. 9, at the Rota Resort and Country Club.
Participants are limited to the first 20 players that show up. Entry fee is $150. Check-in time is at 8am with a shotgun start at 8:30am.
$1K TOP POOL BAR TOURNEY THIS DECEMBER
The Top Pool Bar $1,000 Open 9-Ball Tournament will be held on the weekend of Dec. 18 and 19 from 7pm to 2am.
The contest will have a 32-man field and will be a single elimination, race to seven wins series. Only eight players will remain after the first day with the final players contesting the Top 3 money places the following day.
Entry fee for the billiard event is $30 per person and pairings will be done through a draw, which date will be announced at a later time.

SHELL-TELESOURCE OPEN STARTS NEXT WEEK
The 2004 Shell Marianas-Telesource CNMI Tennis Open will kick off this coming Monday at the American Memorial Park tennis courts.
Organized by the Filipino-American Tennis Association, the tournament features men’s and women’s doubles in the first week starting on Oct. 11. Action in the men’s and women’s singles and mixed doubles then proceed the following week beginning Oct. 17.
Entry forms are available at the AMP tennis courts bulletin board and Las Vegas Golf & Tennis in Garapan.
Entry fee per event is $8 for FILATA members and $15 for non-members. Deadline for the submission of all entry forms is this Friday, Oct. 8, 5pm.

25-AND-UNDER LEAGUE UNVEILS THIS OCT. 23
The 2004 Basketball Association of the Northern Mariana Islands 25-and-under Basketball League will finally kick off on Oct. 23, Saturday, at the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium.
Deadline for submission of entrance fee, rosters and players’ identification is on Oct. 15.
Entrance Fee is set at $600 per team. BANMI is also charging a $5 membership fee for each player.
