Sinners prey on Local Boys
There weren’t any meals that were cause for alarm at Marianas High School during lunchtime on Monday, but the way in which the Sinners knocked around the Local Boys in the World Organized Rocball Interscholastic and Community League at the gymnasium definitely raised some eyebrows.
The Sinners more than doubled up on the Local Boys, 64-31 in a four-set sweep that made them weep. The Sinners started early, taking the first set 16-13 in a close one, but the Local Boys lost all of their fight in the second and third sets, losing by a combined score of 33-7.
There wasn’t a whole lot that the Boys were able to do, but in the fourth and final set, they managed to get within four points of the Sinners. Unfortunately, this would not be their day, as the Local Boys dropped the fourth 15-11.
Overall, the Sinners scored a pair of goals while the Local Boys netted one, but the Sinners were overpowering with 10 aces, and eight kees compared to the three aces, three xunks, and a kee by the Local Boys.
Sinner “Tasmanian” Tito was named the Heavy Hitter, as Mr. T scored four aces, a goal, and a jam to lead his team to victory.
The action of Rocball continues this afternoon at MHS court, as all of the aces, xunks, kees, and goals return under the supervision of the game’s creator Jim Feger at 12:30pm.
