CUC sets power outage on Saturday

The Power Division of the Commonwealth Utilities Corp. said there will be a power outage on Saturday, Oct. 2, 2004, on partial Feeder 4, from 8am to 4pm.

From 8am to 4pm, the areas affected include from Papago and Kagman junction road, part of the cross island road (Papago up to Botanical Garden), all of Kagman I, II, and III areas.

From 8am to 9am, the areas affected are Lower Base, As Mahetog, Sadog Tasi, Capitol Hill/ As Quina (Wireless), Mt. Tapochao, I Denni, Agag, As Teo, Papago, Kagman areas.

Traffic lights affected are the Sadog Tasi traffic light from 8am to 9am and in the afternoon from 3pm to 4pm.

This outage is necessary to replace the pole top structures and primary conductor due to corrosion/rust on the existing metal structures. This interruption is necessary to allow CUC linemen to work on de-energized power lines safely.

“CUC requests the cooperation and patience from people driving and residing in these areas while the work is completed,” the agency said in a statement.
