Canon may have found just the right solution for paper-intensive, short-staffed government or business offices.

Island Business Systems & Supply, the only authorized dealer of Canon products in the Marianas, has introduced a new, multifunction device designed to support high-value color needs and highly customized workflow capabilities.

According to IBSS manager Hannelie Mendoza, the Color imageRUNNER C3200 utilizes the power of Canon’s groundbreaking MEAP, or Multifunctional Embedded Application Platform, technology.

“With MEAP, our machines can now be customized for the workflow of an organization. This is particularly useful for paper-intensive organizations looking to improve their productivity and reduce expenses,” Mendoza said.

A good example, she said, is the Bureau of Motor Vehicles with its huge volume of documents concerning driver and vehicle registration.

“BMP can actually customize the imageRUNNER to some sort of a self-serve kiosk, where customers can get a form, fill it out, scan documents, and get a receipt,” Mendoza said. “It can make processing time so much faster, and even alleviate personnel shortage.”

She added that like other Canon multifunction machines, the Color imageRUNNER C3200 is user-friendly, with its large, color LCD panel and easy-to-understand instructions.

Further, as with all Canon products, IBSS offers one-year warranty for the Color imageRUNNER C3200.

According to Canon, the Color imageRUNNER C3220 provides considerable flexibility, from simple to advanced productivity-enhancing digital copying features.

The machine can make copies from images that were scanned into memory; send an email notification when your job is complete; allows the user to build disparate originals; synchronizes scanner, image processor, and print engine operation; synchronizes scanner, image processor, and print engine operation; and allows the user to process jobs that exceed the capacity of the feeder.

With optional Universal Send technology, the machine also allows workgroup users to distribute information to multiple destinations, including individual or groups of email and Internet fax addresses, and internal mailbox, network or host folders and file, and document management applications.

The Color imageRUNNER C3200 was only one of Canon’s latest innovations showcased at IBSS’ two-day open house, which carried the theme “Copy, Print, Fax, Scan…and Beyond.” The open house was concluded yesterday and was held at the IBSS showroom in Chalan Kanoa.

Also featured at the event were the imageRUNNER C6800 and the imageRUNNER C3100 multifunction products, the CR-180 Check Transport, and the CD-4070NW Digital Document Recorder.

IBSS has been selling Canon products in the Marianas since 1988. Currently, IBSS has two accommodating salespersons and two administrative personnel at the service of customers. The company also has a systems engineer and four Canon-certified technicians providing repair and maintenance support for Canon products.
