Associate Justice Alex Castro swore in Garapan Elementary School’s 2004-2005 Student Council last Sept. 20 in the presence of proud parents, students and teachers in the school cafeteria.

The GES STUCO is composed of class presidents and vice presidents from the 4th-6th grades. Officers were elected after they shared their primary concerns and ideas for improving student services at school.

The new STUCO officers are president Angeline Piñon, vice president Tammy Cepeda, secretary Brittany Yamagata, PIO Shanna Castro, and treasurer Crosby Schultz

Castro also swore in the entire STUCO membership, advisors as well as the overall officers.

The GES STUCO is also the Student Home Group for accreditation. As part of their first task, they have accomplished the final revisions of GES’ Expected Schoolwide Learning Results. The STUCO is an active part of the GES family, organizing student events, participating in extra-curricular activities, raising funds for student and school needs and providing input from the perspective of their constituents.
