‘Thanks for making it happen’

The officers of the Marianas High School MY WAVE Tourism Club would like to thank all student members for their contributions to our Sept. 25 fundraiser. Out of 79 members, about half participated in making this event successful. In addition, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Pacific Islands Club for lending us a canopy with their official logo, tables, and Styrofoam lunch boxes.

“PIC made us feel professional and a real part of the tourism industry by helping us out,” said Dolphin Tourism Club president Rita Mae Santos. “We also thank all those who bought tickets especially both vice principals: Ms. Karen Borja and Mr. Joe Borja. It means a lot to us to have the administration’s support. Advisor Timothy Faska gives us the tools and we just made it happen. Thank you, Mrs. Borja-Robinson for being with us from morning through the early afternoon. Mr. Faska and Mrs. Borja-Robinson dedicated a lot of personal time to support us.”

Due to popular demand, the group will be holding another “hot lunch” fundraiser on Saturday, Oct. 16, across from MHS in front of the basketball court.

We are raising money to visit our sister tourism club in Rota at the end of the month for Halloween. We hope that more supporters will place their orders at our email address: mhsmywave_2005@hotmail.com. Remember that the business package is the best buy.

One lunch is $5, but 10 lunches will be just $4.50 per lunch; in other words, the supporters pay for nine lunches and get one free. We will deliver a 10 lunch business package order.
