The Shell Chiefs of the Commonwealth Football League are the newest team to tackle the Saipan gridiron, and as the opening kick-off is little more than a week and a half away, they will be holding an important practice tonight at the Hopwood Junior High School football field.

In order for the team to take the field in top form, Chief’s captain Danny Punimata is asking that all of the players on the newly renamed team make their way down to the field for the 5pm practice.

This will be the second time in the four year history of the CFL that there will be no returning champion to defend the title, and the fledgling Chiefs have just as much as a shot as anyone to win.

If would like any further information about the Shell Cheifs, contact Punimata by paging him at 236-6282.
