Another of Saipan’s sons is making a mark in college in the mainland.

Twenty-eight-year-old Quinn Palacios Cruz successfully garnered a grade point average of 4.0 in his first year of studies at the Denver Metro State University in Denver, Colorado.

Cruz is expected to obtain a Bachelor of Science degree in education on criminal justice by May of next year.

Cruz is the son of Joaquin Santos and Rebecca Palacios Cruz of As Teo. His sister is Becky Cruz Lizama, who herself has chosen to further her education as well.

Lizama recently moved to Portland, Oregon with her family to pursue an education on environmental law at the Northwestern University of Lewis and Clark. (Cassie DLG Fejeran)
