Chamber meeting to discuss Chaba aftermath
The Saipan Chamber of Commerce meeting, postponed until Wednesday, Sept. 8, will feature a panel of speakers addressing typhoon issues.
Ms. Vicky Villagomez will speak as representative of the Emergency Management Office. Representatives from both the Federal Emergency Management Agency and Small Business Administration will also speak about recovery issues. Steve Hiney will address issues from the perspective of the Department of Public Works and Chip Guard, from the National Weather Service, will cover typhoon forecasting and tracking.
The Chamber meeting will be held at Charley’s at PIC. Cost for the luncheon is $12; the buffet starts at 11:30am and the meeting runs from noon to 1:30pm. The meeting is open to all businesses in Saipan, as well as the general public. Visitors are welcome.
