A woman fell prey to robbery snatching, losing her purse to the culprit while walking home, police said yesterday.

Police spokesman Capt. Pete C. Muna identified the victim as Xiao Ping Li, a garment worker.

Initial investigation showed that the woman was walking home in Tanapag when an unidentified man who appeared to be around 20 years old snatched her purse, which contained important belongings, including an ATM card.

Police said the culprit managed to escape by running to the nearby residential area. (John Ravelo)
