The Saipan Chamber of Commerce will hold its 2004 Corporate Challenge at American Memorial Park this Sunday, Aug. 22. This annual event raises funds for the Chamber of Commerce’s scholarship fund, which each year helps local deserving CNMI students further their education. All businesses and government offices on the island are invited to sign up.

“Come and join the fun as local teams compete in games that include an obstacle course, an egg toss, and fear-factor eating contest. Fellow employees, family members, and the public are invited to cheer on their favorite team,” a statement from the group said.

Prizes will be awarded to teams that have the best times in each game, and a special prize will be given to the team that has the best-decorated tent, following the day’s theme of “Patriotism.”

Last year the Saipan Chamber of Commerce raised over $4,000 that was used to help local students with their education.
