TRACK AND FIELD CHAMPS TOMORROW

The 14th Annual CNMI National Track and Field Championships has been rescheduled for tomorrow.

Registration will begin promptly at 2:30pm and continue until 3pm, when the events get underway.

ISLAND-WIDE VOLLEYBALL ON THE WAY

The Division of Sports and Recreation will kick off its 2004 Island-wide Volleyball League this coming October at the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium.

Teams will be limited to a maximum of 15 players each and will be required to pay a $100 entrance fee. League organizers are looking to have men’s, women’s, and youth leagues in an effort to raise the overall skill level of volleyball on the island.

CFL’S VERIZON ISLANDERS HOLDING PRACTICES

Verizon Islanders of the Commonwealth Football League is holding practices every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday at the airport football field beginning at 5:30pm.

Team representative Gus Romolor is inviting anyone that is interested to practice with the team. He wants his team to be prepared this year and to him, there’s no time like the present.
